Colterenzio embodies what a co-op should be: a winery of small, family farmers, producing quality wines. Colterenzio began in 1960 with 28 vintners and has expanded to nearly 300 members who cultivate 300 hectares of land. Colterenzio is devoted to sustainable farming practices and they produce green energy through photovoltaic and solar panels. "Back to the Origins" was the motto of Luis Raifer, who founded and led Colterenzio from 1979 to 2005, pioneering their focus on quality over quantity.
