Domaine Le Capitaine sits on the limestone-rich slopes of Rochecorbon in Vouvray, where the Loire Valley’s cool climate and historic tuffeau soils provide an ideal setting for Chenin Blanc. Founded by Alain Le Capitaine and now run by his sons Christophe and Florian, the 27-hectare estate is family-owned and independently managed, with a focus on sustainable practices and precise, parcel-by-parcel vinification. Wines are aged in an 11th-century troglodyte cellar, preserving freshness and character. From vibrant dry and demi-sec whites to rich moelleux and elegant sparkling cuvées, the wines of Domaine Le Capitaine reflect both purity and place—authentic expressions of Vouvray shaped by generations of dedication.
